Archive

'Archive' is Fiona Tan’s vision of a fictional archive for the utopian thinker Paul Otlet (1868–1944). The film takes place inside a vast, digitally constructed circular building, designed by Tan as an imagined repository of all human knowledge. Blurring the line between reality and simulation, the work explores themes of memory, ambition, and the fragility of utopian ideals. Under the artists direction of Sil van der Woerd, we were responsible for the complete CG execution of the art installation, digitally building and realizing the entire virtual environment.
